Yesterday I went hiking with my dog Millar. It is probably one of the last hikes on dirt before the first snows arrive on the valley floor. We went on the flank trail up the switchbacks from Rainbow and back down the north side before Alpine until we connected with Bob's re Bob. After to a lake side chill moment to Rainbow Park. All these photos are from the Westside. I found some CRAZY trails for Extreme downhill on a bike.....
My photography is the story teller in this blog. Some posts will have photos and a story to accompany them, some posts will be just photos. This is how how see the world through my camera lens.

Nelson Island in the Fall
Nelson Island
In Nelson Island if you wait long enough by the ocean,
there are moments when magic strikes,
there are moments when the light is just right.
I spent two days on Nelson Island in late October with my trusty Nikon at my friends Rob and Sherry Boyd's cabin. I had forty eight hrs to capture the light-show that mother nature had on the billboard for me. All I had to do was to wait and watch the ocean, the wind, the clouds, the sun, the stars and the moon do their business. I was there to enjoy the show, I was there to "click" when the magic strikes and the light was just right. Here are some of the "clicks" from the two amazing autumn days I spent on Nelson Island.
All was very peaceful, this time.

Many thanks to the Boyd family for everything,
many thanks to Rob for sharing
this wonderful piece of heaven with me.
Robbie Boyd + Loosie the dog
The Knob and Loosie on top of the Bluffies hike trail on Nelson Island. Rob is the one that showed me the little piece of heaven that this island is. He even lets me stay at his house on the island when I come visit. ;)
